How to make it


Remove all ingredients from the fridge 30 minutes before preparing.


Boil a pan of water for the noodles. Once boiling, turn off the heat, add the noodles and leave for 6 minutes. When the noodles are cooked to your liking, strain, and rinse a few times in cold water (this rinses off starch which can make the noodles stick together), set aside.


Place broth in a pan on a high heat and bring to the boil. It must be boiling in order to cook through the steak.


Assembly time! Place noodles in the bowl with the steak on top and pour over the boiling broth. (Note: if you prefer your steak well cooked pour the broth directly on top of the steak.)


Garnish with spring onion, chilli, lime, coriander and Thai basil to your taste.

What you get
Beef pho broth

The star of the show, having been slowly simmered for 8 hours to create a deeply savoury, warmly spiced broth. When it arrives it may be slightly gelatinous but don't worry, it soon becomes a clear broth once heated.

Rare grass fed steak

28 day dry aged steak is very thinly sliced and provided to you uncooked. Traditionally the beef is cooked by pouring steaming hot broth over the top. If you prefer it well done, you can fry it for a few minutes before plating.

Gluten free rice noodles

Hand selected traditional phở noodles are provided. These need to be cooked for 5/6 minutes in boiling water.

Spring onion

Add sliced, diced and raw to add crunch, or for fry for two minutes for a lighter onion flavour.

To add crunch to your bowl this can be sliced or diced and served raw, or for a lighter onion flavour you could fry it for a few minutes. 

Lime & Birds eye chilli

Watch out, these chillis are hot! We prefer to add these as very thin slivers, to add a delicious heat to the phở. If you are not a fan of spice, you can just leave these out!
A squeeze of fresh lime to add at the end will bring the broth to life with bright notes.

Coriander and Thai basil

To be added at the very end for added flavour, freshness and zing. Chop, tear or throw in whole!

We really loved the Pho we ordered from PhoMo. The beef was so delicious aswell and the chill oil was ordered was a fantastic addition.

My partner and I are big phans of Pho as a dish in general - so we were super excited to try out a Pho delivery kit!

We were not disappointed at all - this kit isn't just about the convenience for people who are busy working and are too social to have time to cook - it's also rocking a unique broth recipe that absolutely rocks! Well done to chef and founder, Daniya... we're big fans!

My partner chose the Phở Chay: Vegan Pho kit (with the tofu option - you can also choose shiitake mushrooms). She was very please with the mix of flavours and the very well presented recipe guide.

I had the Phở Bo Tái: Authentic Beef Pho kit with locally reared steak. This is my 'go-to' Pho anywhere I go - I just love the taste of thinly sliced quality beef, cooked by the hot broth pouring into the bowl. The PHOMO experience does not disappoint at all - the meat is very high quality and delicious (also a very good portion size).

Let's add some spice - OK I wasn't completely honest about my preference... I LOVE spicy food, especially Pho! So I had no choice but to add their own made jar of PHOMO Chilli Oil. An excellent choice as I have been using it in my other home cooking dishes too!

All in all, I'd say if you had been hesitating to try (like my partner and I had) then 100% you should just go for it. We ordered two portions of each (the tofu and the beef), along with the jar of chilli oil and were very pleased with the communication, the delivery, the cooking (instructions), assembly, and of course... the taste! (looks great on the insta feed too!)

Will be trying again soon - the new Christmas lunch maybe?
